The Gold bar, also known as the gold nugget, is a recurring item in the Dragon Quest series. It is a valuable solid gold bullion that can be sold for a high amount of gold coins and can also be used for alchemy and item crafting.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
There are a total of three gold nuggets that can be acquired normally in the game. One is received from Princess Minnie in exchange for 52 mini medals. Two more can be found in the Godbird's Eyrie in both the World of Darkness and the World of Light. It can also be dropped rarely by Democrobots.
