The Great sabrecat is a monster in the series.

Characteristics
Great sabrecats are feline beasts that are a cross between a leopard and a sabre-toothed tiger, with spotted golden fur and a fiery red mane that runs from the tops of their heads to the base of their tails. They have a long set of canine teeth, sharp claws, and a long tail that ends in a tuft of red hair. Since their introduction, they have had a prominent role in several games, known for being surprisingly friendly and frequently appearing as a monster companion. In some games, they also allow adventurers to ride on their backs. Due to their popularity, great sabrecats are often seen in both spinoff games and crossover appearances.

In Dragon Quest VIII, a Great sabrecat, normally an enemy in this and other games in the series, can be summoned by ringing Baumren's bell. The sabrecat will then transport the player around the world map at a faster rate than walking.
Great sabrecats can be summoned by ringing baumren's bell. The sabrecat will then transport the player around the world map at a faster rate than walking, except for Empycchu island. This side quest is found at Chateau Felix. Additionally, using the bell in a battle with great sabrecats will cause them to leave the batlle.

DQ10
Great sabrecat began appearing in Version 2.0. It is able to perform a leaping attack and can land desperate attacks. Starting with Version 4.1, Monster Wranglers gained the ability to recruit great sabrecats as monster companions.

DQ11
In the Definitive Edition version of the came, great sabrecats can be summoned by ringing the Baumren's bell, which functions similarly to the horse hailer. A friendly great sabrecat that is summoned travels at an extremely fast pace, faster than both sprinting and horseback riding. However, there are no other uses for this item, and it cannot be used in battle as it is stored in the "Important Items" section of the Luminary 11's bag.

Additionally, the Luminary can visit Chateau Felix via Tickington, where friendly sabrecat NPCs can be found.

The Great sabrecat is a monster in the series.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit | edit source]

Great sabrecats can be summoned by ringing baumren's bell. The sabrecat will then transport the player around the world map at a faster rate than walking, except for Empycchu island. This side quest is found at Chateau Felix. Additionally, using the bell in a battle with great sabrecats will cause them to leave the batlle.

Dragon Quest X [edit | edit source]

Great sabrecat began appearing in Version 2.0. It is able to perform a leaping attack and can land desperate attacks. Starting with Version 4.1, Monster Wranglers gained the ability to recruit great sabrecats as monster companions.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit | edit source]

In the Definitive Edition version of the came, great sabrecats can be summoned by ringing the Baumren's bell, which functions similarly to the horse hailer. A friendly great sabrecat that is summoned travels at an extremely fast pace, faster than both sprinting and horseback riding. However, there are no other uses for this item, and it cannot be used in battle as it is stored in the "Important Items" section of the Luminary's bag.

Additionally, the Luminary can visit Chateau Felix via Tickington, where friendly sabrecat NPCs can be found.
