Critical Meltdown, also known as Critical Miss, is a skill and status effect that prevents the target from being able to land a critical hit for a short time.

Critical Miss costs 5 MP to use and prevents a single enemy from landing critical hits for 4 to 7 turns. It can be learned from:

Critical Miss can be learned from all the skills it could be previously, though All-Rounder now requires 65 points and Seal now requires 42 points. It can also be learned from Mortella for 16 points.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[edit | edit source]

Critical Meltdown costs 6 MP to use and prevents the target from landing critical hits for 4~7 turns. It is learned through the Barricade, Cheesy Grin, Cool Customer, Hater, and Vexologist talents.
