Serena is a character in the game Dragon Quest IX.

Appearance

Serena wears a purple hooded cloak with a gold rim across the front instead of at the bottom. She has brown hair with bangs that are parted from the center to the sides, framing her face, and her back hair is tied to her left side with a gold-coloured hairtie (although it is obscured by her hood). She has teal blue eyes that have a faraway gaze most of the time, which reinforces the sullen look on her face. On top of her white, long-sleeved dress with pink ruffles at the bottom is a blue corset with pink rims and white lace. Her boots are a dull shade of brown.

With the exception of flashback cutscenes, she appears only as a ghost. She appears multiple times throughout the game. Her relationship with Corvus, the Guardian of Wormwood Creek, is tied heavily into the overall plot of Dragon Quest IX. She appears as an unknown ghost twice, in Angel Falls and Dourbridge, before she finally tells the player her name. She will then ask for her "item" to be brought to her from under the statue of Corvus.
