The Bandit mail is armour in the series.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

A suit of lightweight armour said to have been forged from of an exotic metal, worn with a rough green tunic over the left shoulder and a leather belt around the waist. The armour has a high degree of protection, but no other effects, and is able to be equipped by a wider range of characters and vocations due to its light weight. Its name in Japanese has a double meaning as it is spoken phonetically similar to the phrase "banded mail", a type of armour popularised by the tabletop game Dungeons & Dragons that is similar to splint armour and "bandit" (バンデット, bandetto?) in Japanese. This is also the origin of the Brigandine's name in Japanese.
