Appearance and personality[edit | edit source]
Old Man Nick Knack is a wizened man with white hair and bushy eyebrows and mustache. He wears a loose purple coat overlaid on top of a striped yellow robe with a purple sash tied around his midsection. Blue wrappings are binded around his ankles with leather boots covering his feet. A blue scarf is around his neck and he is usually seen holding an ornate staff decorated with a globe that is somewhat accurate to the world map.

Story[edit | edit source]
Old Man Nick Knack died of old age waiting for certain goods to arrive at the Knick-knackatory, but became a ghost and continued to wait. After the Hero delivers the special products, he becomes the curator of the museum. He calls himself "Ghost Grandfather", because he has forgotten his real name. While this character's name is similar to that of Yuji Horii, the game creator has stated in a pre-release interview that the two are unrelated.
After 18 pedestals are filled, Old Man Nick Knack gives the Hero 1,000 gold coins as thanks.
