Kadonk is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in the Joker sub series of the Monsters spin off games, that damages enemies with a crushing gravity well. It is superior to Donk and inferior to Kadonkle.
Appearances[edit | edit source]
Dragon Quest X [edit | edit source]
Kadonk makes its main series debut as an enemy-exclusive spell used by some bosses. It costs 8 MP to cast and, much like Donk, will deal 75% of a character's maximum HP as damage and has a wider area of effect.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2[edit | edit source]
Kadonk costs 32 MP to cast. It affects all enemies on screen, and damage inflicted is 1/6th of their current HP. It can be learned from:
- Cursader (60 points)
- Exorsus (70 points)
- Wormonger (85 points)
- Zenith Dragon (38 points)
- Wildcard (100 points)
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3[edit | edit source]
Kadonk's damage calculation is the same, but now only targets one foe. MP cost has been reduced to 8.
Dragon Quest Tact[edit | edit source]
Kadonk can be learned by Wildcard at level 38 and costs 146 MP to use. It inflicts major typeless spell damage to all enemies in a 3x3 square in front of it with a high chance of binding them, too. Upgrading the spell increases its damage and reduces the amount of MP it costs to cast.
