The Grim keeper is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series that first appeared in Dragon Quest IV. It is a purple winged demon that wields a scythe as tall as itself.
Characteristics
Grim keepers are Demons with purple skin, moss green wings, a long pointy tail, and two pairs of golden curved horns on their heads. They have muscular bodies and their faces have simian features with a pair of large pointed ears and four digits on each of their limbs. Their faces and chests are the same color as their wings. They carry their wicked scythes in both of their hands.
The Grim keeper has gone on to make appearances in X, XI (3DS and Definitive Edition) as well as some of the spin-offs. In Dragon Quest IV, they are the strongest and last encountered of their monster family (i.e. pallete swaps).
They share the same name as Grim Keeper from VI in both English and Japanese, but are otherwise different enemies entirely.
