Dragon Quest X

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

Veronica can learn Staff of Salvation for 13 skill points in the Heavy Wand skillset of her Character Builder, while Rab learns it for 5 skill points through his. When used, it will restore around 50 HP to a single party member for 4 MP, reaching to a maximum of 150 depending on the user's Magical Might, rather than their Magical Mending for Veronica's benefit.

Trivia

  • In the original Japanese, the ability shares the same name as the recurring staff which first appeared in Dragon Quest IV.
  • A caduceus is a staff carried by the Greek messenger god Hermes. It is a short staff entwined with two serpents and often topped with a pair of wings and has become a representation or symbol of healing. Caduceus is often confused or conflated with the Rod of Asclepius, a staff entwined with only a single serpent associated with Asclepius, a Greek deity of healing and medicine.
