Lightning Thrust is a full power, all-or-nothing skill that lands a Critical Hit on any monster it manages to pierce. It is the upgraded form of the less accurate Thunder Thrust in every appearance.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit | edit source]
The Hero will learn how to perform Lightning Thrust after allocating 52 points into his spear skill tree. It has an equal chance of missing or stabbing an enemy's vitals, and costs 3 MP to perform.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit | edit source]
Jade will learn how to perform Lightning Thrust for 16 points in the spears section of her character builder. It costs 9 MP to use, has an accuracy of 2/3rds (67%), and is unaffected by Dazzle nor the target's evasion stat.
