The sea dragon (海竜, Kairyu^?) is a monster in the Dragon Quest series that was introduced in Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King.

In Dragon Quest VIII, the sea dragon is only located under the bridge that supports the town Arcadia. The monster can use the attack Gigaflash which can dazzle the whole party or can be used to turn the magic mirror into the sun mirror which is needed to unlock the Dark Ruins.
