The Saviour staff is a wand in the series.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

The saviour staff is topped with a golden figure of an armour-clad hero wielding a sword, with some runes inscribed near the top. The staff ends in a blue crystal. When used as a tool in battle, it will surround the party with a barrier that protects against breath attacks.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit | edit source]

The Saviour staff has an Attack bonus of +103, a Style bonus of +60, and can only be equipped by Sir Mervyn. It consumes 3 MP each time an attack is made and casts Insulatle when used as a tool in battle. In the original Sony PlayStation version, it can be purchased from the final stage of the Immigrant Town for 18,500 gold and sold for 9,250 gold.

  • In the Nintendo 3DS version, the saviour staff can be purchased from the weapon shop on the Sea Dragon for 37,000 gold and it can be sold for 18,500 gold. It can also be received as a reward occasionally for clearing a custom Traveller's Tablet with Baron von Bellycose as a boss.
