The Pawmaturge is a monster in the Nintendo 3DS version of Dragon Quest VII.

Characteristics

Pawmaturges have a near-identical appearance to Meowgicians; however, they carry a staff topped with a cat's paw rather than the usual gnarled wooden staff. Their fire magic is a step above that of a meowgician's, as well. Their English name is a play on the word "thaumaturge", someone who practices thaumaturgy, which is the working of miracles or application of magic that affects change in the physical world.
