The Monster slashers are the final upgrade of the beast claws.
Localization history[edit | edit source]
These claws had previously been adapted as "Beast talons" for the 3DS remake of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined[edit | edit source]
The monster slashers increase attack by 104 points, and the critical hit chance by 10%. They also offer a 12% chance of envenomating enemies when attacking, increase the damage dealt to beast monsters, and has a 8% chance of allure beasts. They can be equipped by Ruff and Aishe.
The best claws in the game can be obtained from the Manticore monster or purchased at the Sea Dragon (sailing vessel). Their purchase price is 14000 gold coins, and their sale price is 7000 coins.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit | edit source]
Appearing only in the 3DS remake, the beast talons can be equipped by Morrie and increase his attack by +95 while also dealing 160% damage to beasts. They can be created by combining the beast claws with an ethereal stone.
