The Leather trousers are legwear in the series. They are the legwear counterpart to the leather armour, being a piece of light armour worn near the beginning of the game.

Dragon Quest X [edit | edit source]
The Leather trousers have a Defence bonus of +2, a Style bonus of +1, and increase the wearer's Weight by 5. They can be equipped by Warriors, Priests, Thieves, Minstrels, Gladiators, Paladins, Armamentalists, Rangers, Luminaries, Monster Wranglers, Item Masters, Dancers, Gadabouts, Demon Swordsmen, Pirates, and Guardians. It can be crafted with tailoring, requiring one piece of Hardy hide to make.
- In the Offline version of the game, the Leather trousers have a Defence and Agility bonus of +3, and a Charm bonus of +2. They can be equipped by the Hero in several vocations, along with Hussar, Mjoll, Raguas, and Duston. The trousers can be purchased for 40 gold from several armour shops or made with the Fun-Size Forge using the same recipe as before. In this game, they are worn with a pair of boots.

The Leather trousers are a 1★ piece of leg armour that can be equipped by Hero and Warrior characters. It is a starter piece of equipment and could occasionally be acquired from free Treasure Hunts.
