The Gooey gear is clothing in Dragon Quest IX.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

The gooey gear is a set of clothing similar to a mascot's costume that makes the wearer look like the lower and middle slimes of a Slime stack. The look is completed by wearing a Slood. It is part of a series of equipment modeled after the Slime family. In the original Japanese, the gooey gear and the Slime gooniform are one and the same, with the former having a completely different appearance in Dragon Quest IX.
