The Drakulord is a monster in the series.

Characteristics

Drakulords are immense bipedal dragons with huge bellies, small wings on their backs, a singular horn atop their heads, and a massive pair of sharp claws. Their scales are purple and they have beige-colored undersides, a tiny pair of green eyes, and red membrane on their wings. The dragons are able to put their considerable size to use by unleashing devastating quake attacks against puny adventurers who would oppose them. They are able to spew forth flames of scorching heat to incinerate their opponents, as well.

The drakulord's Japanese name Dragon wǔ (ドラゴン･ウー, Doragon・wū^?) is a reference to the fifth-level of martial arts, or the dan system, and Wū (五), the Chinese word for "five". A fifth dan in martial arts is senior level or considered a polished expert that can still rise higher in rank. This is referenced to in the drakulord's monster description in Dragon Quest IX.

• A drakulord must be defeated within three turns in order to acquire a drakulord's tooth for Quest #171: I Would Do Anyfang for Love. They will only drop the fang after the quest has been accepted.

Dragon Quest X

Drakulord appears as a rare boss in the Magic Labyrinth. Once again, it can attack with Stomp and can also attack with Gigant Nail, Infernorb, and Hellfire Howl.
