Doleful Dirge reduces a single enemy's resistance to all elements by 40% for 5~7 turns (30% in the Nintendo 3DS version) for 12 MP. The ability has a fixed accuracy of ²⁄₃ (67%) before a monster's resistance applies. It can be learned by Serena for 25 skill points through the Harpistry panel on her Character Builder after it has been fully expanded by Eegoltap in the postgame. It is a hidden skill, requiring all four of the surrounding panels to be unlocked first, and is located on the upper left next to her Spears panel.

• Doleful Dirge can be used in conjunction with other abilities that can lower elemental resistance, such as Scorched Earth, Pearly Gates, and Lightning Storm, as well as Anathematise. But unlike other debuff effects, Doleful Dirge cannot be applied twice.
