Ashley was the first Hero of Astoltia, living in the Mythical Age, thousands of years prior to the events of Dragon Quest X. Excitable and endlessly courageous, Ashley wears a smile on his face even in the direst of circumstances.

His twin brother, Leone, was his Ally. The twins faced a long journey to defeat the first Demon Lord, Goda, who had put the entire human race in grave peril. Their actions cemented the role of Hero & Ally, figures who would later reappear in the human history in Astoltia, first with Alvan and Kamil, and later with Anlucia and the adventurer from Tenton.
