The Alarmour is a monster in the series.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
Alarmours are animated suits of magenta or dark purple armour, wielding a tall poleaxe in one hand and a shield embossed with the design of a skull in the other. Their helmets have a tall pair of curved horns and their pauldrons have sharp spikes. They are able to perform a variety of techniques with their weapons, such as elemental slashes and acrobatic flips with ease. Occasionally, they will start battle with Bounce active, allowing them to reflect spells back at their caster or have the ability to cast it on their own. Starting with Dragon Quest X, the alarmour's design changed slightly, with their armour becoming more purple, their horns now silver, and a blue light glowing from inside their visors. According to their description in various games, the suits of armour have been imbued with the will of a demon lord and are used to decorate the castles of the demon world.
