The following are guts skills in Dragon Quest IX. Guts skills are only available to the Gladiator class.

Clap Trap

Costs: 1 MP

A stinging slap across the face.

Double Up

Costs: 0 MP

Lowers defense a little (one level) to increase attack a lot (two levels).

Tip: Use Buff so your defense will retun to normal but your attack will remain the same.
