The following is a list of Alchemy ingredients (also called reagents) in Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. These ingredients can be mixed in the alchemy pot by King Trode in the back of the wagon during the quest, usually resulting in the creation of a new, better item. This gameplay mechanic was re-used in Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies with the introduction of Krak Pot, who essentially performed the same function.
