Etymology
- Gleipnir is the name of the ribbon-like leash that bound the monstrous wolf Fenrir. It was commissioned by the Norse Gods to the dwarves, who made it impossible to break by making it out of six impossible things: the sound of a cat's footfall, the beard of a woman, the roots of a mountain, the sinews of a bear, the breath of a fish, and the spittle of a bird.
