List of whip skills in Dragon Quest IX

The following are whip skills in Dragon Quest IX. Whip skills can be learned via Minstrel, Mage, and Luminary classes.

Hypnowhip

A loopy lash that sometimes confuses an enemy. Costs 3 MP to use.

An attack that deals heavy damage to humanoids.

An attack that may paralyze the target. Costs 3 MP to use.

An attack that may put enemies to sleep. Costs 3 MP to use.

Heals the user's own wounds when it hits.

Hits an enemy twice.

Attacks a group of enemies. Requires the 'Working with Whips' in a character's inventory to use.

Enables the character to use whips with any vocation.
