List of sword skills in Dragon Quest IX
The following are Sword skills in Dragon Quest IX. Sword skills can be learned via Minstrel, Warrior, Thief, Gladiator, and Armamentalist classes.
Dragon Slash[edit | edit source]
An attack that deals 50% more damage to dragons. Requires 3 skill points to learn.
Metal Slash[edit | edit source]
An attack that can damage enemies with metal bodies. It deals one extra point of damage, and requires 13 skill points to learn.
Miracle Slash[edit | edit source]
This move deals 25% more damage than a normal blow and heals the user for 1/4th of the damage dealt. It requires 4 mp to use and 35 skill points to learn.
Falcon Slash[edit | edit source]
A double slicing attack, faster than a falcon on the wing. Each strikes deals 75% of a normal hit. This move requires 2 mp to use and 58 skill points to learn.
Gigaslash[edit | edit source]
A technique for cutting down a group of enemies. Deals 140~180 points of Light-element damage, with a maximum cap of 360 when the practitioner's strength and magical mending exceed 500. This technique requires 15 mp to use and 88 skill points to learn.
Gigagash[edit | edit source]
A much-improved technique for cutting down a group of enemies. Deals 195~335 Light-element damage, with a max cap of 520 that is reached in the same manner as its predecessor. Requires the 'Swordcraft in Summary' in the character's inventory to use, as well as 30 mp.
Omnivocational Swordmaster[edit | edit source]
Enables the character to use swords with any vocation.
