Stornway is a town in Dragon Quest IX. It is one of the first town's visited by the Hero. It is home to the Quester's Rest inn and is generally considered the "central" location in the game, despite only being involved in the early plot.

Stornway is the first town to be visited after Angel Falls. It is the first location with a castle that the player visits. The player can access it after the road to Angel Falls has been cleared by the castle guards. This happens after the player visits and clears The Hexagon.

Arriving in Stornway, the player becomes involved in the saga with the Wight Night and Princess Mona. This involves trips to a clearing north of the castle, as well as Brigadoom. After resolving he conflict, King Schott tells the player that the checkpoint east of the castle is now open, allowing passage to Coffinwell.
