Hammer is a monster in the Dragon Quest series that was introduced in Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation.
Characteristics
Though identical in appearance to the iconic slime, Hammer is distinguised by his competitive demeanour, being described by other characters as a ruthless fighting machine. Despite this, he shows respect to those able to best him in combat.

Hammer is a powerful slime under the ownership of Sledge and is the champion of the Slimopolis arena, fought at the end of Rank A.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past
Exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS Version of the game, Hammer appears as the boss of the DLC Tablet The Test of Slime.
