Spongy Skin is a monster trait that partially simulates the effect of the Absorb Magic spell

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[edit | edit source]
Spongy Skin allows the possessor to absorb MP from a monster that damages it with an ability that uses the attack stat. It has a 6% chance to activate in single player battles but has a 60% chance to trigger in multiplayer battles. The amount drained is calculated as Level/2 + 5~10, with that limit being 250.
