Characteristics
The crazed cerberex is a furious hound to be feared, with awesome jaws so fast that both heads can snap at all adventures in a party with a single attack, causing chaos for unprepared parties or weakened fighters.
Appearances
The Cerberex is a monster in the game Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past.
It can be found in the first bonus dungeon, Cave to Another World, only accessible after the game is beaten.
Trivia
The Cerberex and it's pallet swaps are based on the two-headed dog Orthrus of greek myth. The hound was the guard dog for the cattle pins of the giant Greyon, and was one of the offspring of Echidna and Typhon. It was slain by Hercules as part of the process of completing his Tenth Labor.
- The monster's old localization name is a reference to The Hound of the Baskervilles, a Sherlock Holmes novel.
