'''Nera Briscoletti''' ('''Flora''' in the fan-translations) is the daughter of the wealthy man, Rodrigo Briscoletti. You first meet her as a child, but you only see her when she is returning to her home with her father (and, in the DS version, her sister Debora). Ten years later, you are on your travels when you come to Mostroferrato, the place where the Zenethian Shields is supposed to be. It is in the hands of the Ludman family. Rodrigo is looking for a man worthy to marry Nera. You venture into a cave and locate the Ring of Fire. You then, with the help of your old friend Bianca, travel into a watery cave and locate the Ring of Water. After returning to Mostroferrato, Nera sees that Bianca has feelings for the hero, and that the hero might feel the same. It is decided that the hero will choose who he wants to marry. If you pick Nera, she will say "She will be a wife who will depends on you for protection", but you can choose her anyway. After the wedding, Nera wants to go with you on your journey, but they have to ask Rodrigo first. he says that only is you do something for him will he let Nera go with you. The hero is freed eight years later by his kids and Sancho, his father's best friend.
