Wellgarth is a city located in southeastern Torland in Dragon Quest II. Despite appearing on the world map, the city located almost entirely underground.

Overview

Wellgarth holds many critical items from completing the game. The armor shop also sells the best equipment which can be purchased in Dragon Quest II.

Entrance

In order to enter Wellgarth, the heroes must possess the Golden Key to open the door which leads down to the city.

Jailers Key

The Jailers Key can be purchased in Wellgarth at the item shop. Within the list of items for sale is a blank line where an item would normally appear. Selecting this line will trigger the shop keeper to sell the key. This is hinted by a townsperson within Wellgarth.

Watergate Key

The Watergate Key is also located in Wellgarth. Using the Jailers Key to open a prison cell in one of the buildings. The heroes find a hidden passage way at the back of the cell. Within the passage way, the heroes find Lagos who gives them the key.
