The Staff of strife, known as the staff of ripple[1] in Japanese, is a weapon that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest III.
Characteristics
This staff has a long, dark blue handle and is topped with a sky blue mirror-like crystal surrounded by white clouds. The end of the staff is covered by the same design of white clouds.

The staff of strife has an attack bonus of +33, can be equipped by Mages, Priests, and Sages, and can be sold for 5,250 gold. It is occasionally dropped by Hocus-pokers, which is the only way to acquire one in the original NES version of the game.
