Machine Family (Japanese Katakana: マシン Romanji:Mashin) refers to monsters in Dragon Quest series that has robotic or machine body, and are made of metals. Due to the fantasy-based nature of the series, mechanical monsters are among the rarest of any family. In some games, this family is included within the Material family.
