The dark slime is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. First introduced in Dragon Quest Monsters: Caravan Heart, they are slimes with sinister qualities.
Characteristics
Dark slimes could be said to be a combination of slimes and drackies. They have fanged smiles and small wings that make them similar to the bloodsucking fiends, as well as sharing this vampire-like diet, but are easily spotted as slimes given their droplet shape and big, round eyes.
While dark slimes are stronger than the average slime, they aren't exactly powerful and could be considered more like the bottom rung of a subfamily like the metal slime, seeing as how there are stronger versions of the dark slime such as the dark slime knight.
Appearances
Dragon Quest Monsters: Caravan Heart
The first game to feature dark slimes, the wicked drops of goo can be located in the desert lighthouse.
