The Lethal armour is a monster in the series.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
The lethal armour is a red variant of the more common restless armour that, unlike its peers, has mastered spell-casting well enough to menace players with Kasap and Kasnooze. Forged in the fires of Hell, it stalks the world of man to paint itself further scarlet with the blood of its victims, and often relies on summoning cureslimes in battle. According to their monster description in X, they have a rivalry with Knight abhorrents over the redness of their armour. In some games such as the Monsters: Joker series, the suits of armour have traded in their swords and wield halberds instead.

Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies[edit | edit source]
Dragon Quest X [edit | edit source]
Lethal armour began appearing in Version 3.1 of the game. It is still able to cast both Kasnooze and Kasap, and can land desperate attacks, as well as gaining the ability to use Armour Harmer. They can be encountered in certain areas accompanied by cureslimes, but they no longer have the ability for call for backup from them. It is possible for players to change the appearance of a Restless armour monster companion to that of a Lethal armour's with a colour-changing ticket.
