The Tyrannodactyl is a monster that first appeared in Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line.

Characteristics

Tyrannodactyls is a monster based on pterosaurs that can be found in the fifth and sixth floors of the Cave to Rendarak. It is a stronger version of the Terrordactyl with a more orange/reddish color scheme, but unlike its counterpart which only uses physical attacks, it uses dangerous spells like Fire Breath, Kasap and Snooze. Starting with the Super Famicom remake, the tyrannodactyl's skin changed to dark yellow with red webbing on its wings.
