The robe of serenity was originally depicted as a long pink mantle that covers the wearer's head and reaches down to the ground. There are several dangling emblems of stars and moons at the hem, on the front, and on the hood of the robe. It is also worn with a small gold circlet around the hood. In ''IX'' and ''A Hero's Bonds'', the robe's design was changed to a more traditional robe with the same gold crescent moon and star designs on the sleeves and the hem.
In most of its appearances, it provides extra protection if the wearer is [[Sleep (status)|asleep]] or have been [[Paralysis|paralysed]]. The robe of serenity was originally depicted as a long pink mantle that covers the wearer's head and reaches down to the ground. There are several dangling emblems of stars and moons at the hem, on the front, and on the hood of the robe. It is also worn with a small gold circlet around the hood. In IX and A Hero's Bonds, the robe's design was changed to a more traditional robe with the same gold crescent moon and star designs on the sleeves and the hem.

One can be found in a treasure chest on B1F of the Imperial Pantry of Parthenia and another on B8F of the Fungeon in remake versions of the game. The robe can be sold for 4,500 gold. Fat bats have a 1128 chance of dropping the robe, as well.
