The Green dragon is a monster in the series.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
As its name makes clear, the green dragon is a quadrupedal, wingless Western dragon with green skin and an orange-brown underbelly. It has impressive strength and stamina, with a moveset exclusively made of fire-elemental breath attacks.
In the first game, a green dragon is keeping Princess Gwaelin hostage on the Dragonlord's orders and must be defeated so the Hero can bring her back to Tantegel Castle.
Appearances[edit | edit source]
Dragon Quest[edit | edit source]
While this monster can be found in the overworld, a specific one is guarding Princess Gwaelin in the Quagmire Cave, and must be fought to rescue her. This Green dragon was no different from its brethren originally, but was given a full boss promotion in the remakes.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Caravan Heart[edit | edit source]
The dragon is a two-star member of the Beast family with a Weight of 3. It naturally learns FireAir, Blaze and Hold Breath. Its in-game description reads "It defends itself with enchanted scales."
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker[edit | edit source]
Only one wild green dragon can be encountered in the game, guarding a treasure room within Palaish Isle's shrine. It is important to save at a scout post beforehand if attempting to scout this green dragon, seeing as how it does not respawn once defeated.
