The party dress is a recurring piece of clothing in the Dragon Quest series that first appeared in the SFC remake of Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation.

It is a fancy red dress that can only be worn by female characters and provides a surprising amount of protection.

The party dress was added in the 1996 remake. It has a Defence bonus of +40 and can only be worn by thieves and Gadabouts. One can be found in Edina, and another in Cantlin, and can be sold for 8,850 gold coins.
