Ultra Granite Chin is a monster trait that raises the possessor's resistance to being surprised by 50%.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[edit | edit source]
Ultra Granite Chin raises the possessing monster's resistance to being shocked by 50%, stacking with any natural resistance. This lowers the odds of being unable to act, whether it be through the use of War Cry or as the bonus effect of another ability. In the latter case only the chances of being are lowered, not the accuracy or power of the attack itself. Ultra stacks with the effect of Granite Chin for a 60% resistance, but this boon can be voided if the enemy has the Ultra Crafty Stunner and Crafty Devil traits.
Ultra Granite Chin is available through the Cyclone Shield, Hard Warder, Stun Stopper, and Super Naturalist talents.
