The Karstaway stone (originally known as Stone of Drought) is an key item in Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen.

The Karstaway stone is in Dunplundrin. It's found by looking in a small dry spot with the tide covering the beach during the night. It's needed to gain further access in Cascade Cave, which contains the Sands of time and several other treasures (as well as another future resident for Pioneer Town).
