'''Zip''' is a spell introduced in {{DQDai}} as an obscure branch of the [[Zoom]] family which teleports the user to their allies. This spell is most commonly used within dungeons to prevent the party from becoming separated.

After sending [[Dai]] and his friends on ahead, [[Avan]] catches up with them much faster than should be possible, explaining that he used a Zoom-like spell called Zip.

According to [[Popp]], this spell is likely how [[Vearn]]'s forces can retreat from battle by vanishing into thin air. It is also likely the  "[[Zoom]] spell" which they use to come and go from [[Vearn Palace]] without opening its gate (as standard Zoom magic does not allow passing through solid objects).

Avan has also developed a type of magic sand which can be placed to serve as a waypoint for Zip, after which the user can teleport to its location even from another dimension.
