The '''Vortex Axe''' is the signature weapon of the Beast King [[Crocodine]] in {{DQDai}}. It is an axe enchanted with [[Woosh]] magic that allows the wielder to use wind attacks. The axe has appeared as both a weapon and skill in various spinoff games in the {{DQSeries}}.

As long as the red jewel in the center of the axe's blade is intact, it is able to be repaired even if the axe becomes damaged. However, the axe becomes irreparably damaged later in a battle with [[Baran]].

The vortex axe can be obtained as part of a ''The Adventure of Dai'' collaboration event. It is a five-star weapon and allows the wielder to use the skill [[Beast King Redemption Blast]] when equipped.

The axe appears once again as part of the game's ''The Adventure of Dai'' collaboration event. It is a five-star axe that can be obtained by completing event quests, by defeating Crocodine, or by exchanging event medals.

Vortex Axe appears both as one of Crocodine's skills and a weapon that can be equipped by any unit. The skill can be learned by Crocodine at level 24 and costs 34 MP to use. It has a range of three squares in front of him and inflicts moderate Woosh-type martial damage to all enemies in a range of three squares horizontally.

The weapon is an A-rank axe that can be acquired as a reward for completing the Mystic Legion stage on Showdown on Valge Island! or purchased from the limited ''The Adventure of Dai'' event shop. It has an ATK bonus of +22, increases Martial Potency by 2%, and has three slots for Alchemy Effects.
