The '''Talontear Tunnel''' is a cave in [[Alefgard]] in {{Dragon Quest III}}

It is the precursor to [[Erdrick's Cave]] in the first game, and is the location of the [[Hero's Shield]].

It is said that the cave is the point where [[Zoma]] entered Alefgard.  Like the [[Pyramid]]'s basement floors, magic is sealed here too. Upon the demon lord's defeat, The {{Hero 3}} and his companions fall into an opening pit from [[Zoma's Citadel]] and are flung to the third floor of the cave. The cave begins to collapse as they escape, and the third floor is sealed off once they exit.
