The '''Swingre''' is a recurring {{MFamilies}} in the {{DQSeries}}, first appearing in {{Dragon Quest IV}}.

They are brutish [[demon]]s wielding spiked flails in battle.

==Characteristics==
Swingres are giant-sized [[Demon family|brutes]] with glowing eyes, armed with a double-ended steel spiked flail that they fling and swing with blistering speed. They have a mess of spiky white hair and bushy beards. Their outfits consist of long capes attached to leather harnesses on their torsos, a pair of briefs with belts around their waists, and boots, all colored black. However, when the swingres returned in {{VII}}, they had green skin instead and wore blue attire rather than their regular black. They are capable of landing {{Desperate attack}}s with them to bring down adventurers in one fell swoop.
