The Mirror World is a location in Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors. ==Story== The party first has contact with the Mirror World after ascending the Tower of Mirrors and defeating Xiphos the Deathbringer's minion, Großmesser, at which point they recover the Queen and the Hero frees her by slicing the Rorrim Mask in half, thus cutting her off from the demon's influence. However, as the Mask was the only thing keeping his power in check, Xiphos sees fit to reveal himself as an image on the grand mirror, demonstrating that he survived in spite of his prior defeat at the hands of Claymore and his party by hiding in the Mirror World. He then departs, leaving the party to discuss their plan of action over this dangerous turn of events. The Mirror World is also the home of Draug, a minor deity. On the advice of Minister Misericord, the party travels there in the hopes of soliciting his help of repairing the Rorrim Mask. After testing their worthiness through a battle, Draug not only reattached the pieces of the mask, but also offered Rednusadner, his own original creation and possibly the only sword in the world capable of injuring Xiphos. At the very end of the game, after reaching the top of the Deathbringer's Citadel, the party apparently is bodily teleported to an unknown location, possibly the Mirror World. Here they must fight a boss and several other difficult enemies before finally entering Xiphos's throne room and killing him in the final boss battle of the game. ==Nature== Although very few details are offered about it in the game, it appears to be another physical plane of existence, accessible through certain mirrors, or at least the large one at the top of the Tower of Mirrors. Xiphos the Deathbringer also retreated into it when he was seemingly absorbed into the Rorrim Mask, suggesting a connection between that artefact and the Mirror World. It is depicted as a hazy, surreal world with a constant aquamarine shimmer effect. ==Level rewards== :For more information, see Level scoring in Dragon Quest Swords *Rank S - 1 x Ice Crystal *Rank A - 2 x Monsterbone *Rank B - 1 x Thunderball stub DQSNav Wikia
