'''Merle''' is a supporting character from ''[[The Adventure of Dai]]''. She offers invaluable support to the Disciples of Avan thanks to her skills in foresight. 

Merle was raised by her grandmother Nabara, who is a renowned fortune teller from the Teran kingdom.

==Characteristics==
Merle is a kind-hearted fragile young human girl. Due to her strong sensory powers, she can alert the heroes when a threat arises.

Merle has light skin, big brown eyes and long black hair. Her orange sari and overall appearance reminds of [[Meena Mahabala]] from {{Dragon Quest IV}}.

Nabara and Merle first appear in Bengarna's shopping department store, they first meets [[Dai]], [[Leona]] and [[Popp]] when Baran attacks the city with his dragon legion. In that first encounter, Nabara reveals to Dai that he is a Dragon Knight.

Merle's  sensory powers allow her to support the party even without being able to fight. Merle can also support the party with light healing spells.

Merle eventually develops feelings for Popp.

====Fortune Teller====
Merle was originally unplayable and relegated to making a cameo running a shop where players could obtain characters and upgrade orbs for older events. However, due to fan demand, she was made into a playable character after the game's first anniversary.

To fit the vocations available in the game, Merle was made into a priest. This allowed her to focus on supportive spells while having access to one offensive spell: Palm of Purification.

While the event lasted, she would gain double exp, and having her as Luminary Leader's parter would grant additional tokens and upgrade jewels.
