The '''Lucida shard''' is a recurring item in the {{DQSeries}}. When it was first introduced, it was an accessory that could either cause [[confusion]] to an enemy or remove confusion from a party member when used as a tool in battle. In later games, it has become a crafting material instead.

The Lucida shard is an accessory with a {{Luck}} bonus of +5 that can be equipped by all characters. When used as a tool in battle, it can cure a single party member of the effects of [[confusion]]. It can only be purchased from the third stage of the [[Pioneer Town]] for 500 gold and sold for 375 gold. One can be found in a treasure chest in [[Diabolic Hall]].

The Lucida shard has a {{Style}} bonus of +10 and attempts to confuse a single enemy when used as a tool in battle. It can only be equipped by [[Milly]] and [[Ashlynn]]. One can be found in a drawer at [[Madame Luca's House]], and it has a {{fraction|1|256}} chance of being dropped by a [[Fuddleguana]]. The shard cannot be purchased or sold anywhere.

It can be purchased for 500 gold at the item shops in [[Precipice Pass]], as well as [[Al-Balad]] and [[El Ciclo]] in the past and it can be sold for 250 gold.
