The '''Killer torch''', also known as the '''Grim candle''', is a recurring {{MFamilies}} in the {{DQSeries}}, first appearing in {{DQ10}}.

It is a powerful variant of the [[Wax murderer]] made of red wax that wields a sickle in its hand.

==Characteristics==
Killer torches are anthropomorphic walking [[Material family|candle]]s made of blood red wax, their wicks lit with an ghastly blue flame. They have traded out the knives wielded by their waxy cousins, instead choosing to wield a wicked sharp scythe in their right hands. Their eerie fires give them the ability to cast both fire and darkness magic on their enemies and they are known for taking adventurers by surprise by using '''Channel Anger''' after sustaining enough damage.

Killer torches make their debut in Version 1.0 of the game, being encountered in the Calsadra Volcano. They can cast both [[Frizzle]] and [[Zammle]] and will use Channel Anger on themselves after taking enough damage.
