'''Jack's Knack''' is an ability in the ''[[Dragon Quest (series)|Dragon Quest]]'' series. It channels the "Voice of Vocations" to enable class changing on the field.

This ability is learned with 10 skill points allocated into [[List of enlightenment skills in Dragon Quest IX|Enlightenment skill]]. Players will still need to return to [[Alltrades Abbey (Dragon Quest IX)|Alltrades Abbey]] in order to revocate a level 99 character, however. Jack's knack costs 4 MP to perform, but the magic points will not be restored if a vocational change is cancelled.

The skill is handy for inexpensive healing, as the HP and MP of a character scales to the level of that vocation. As such, a weakened character can go from a high leveled vocation to one of a lower level, be healed with a [[Medicinal herb]], and then change back to their original vocation with the amount of HP restored scaling to the higher leveled profession.
